A striking late 19th century Gothic Revival giltwood mirror of elegant architectural form.

The tall lancet arch silhouette draws inspiration from ecclesiastical windows, with column-style uprights and carved foliate banding that echo medieval stone tracery. Beautifully proportioned, it has a sculptural presence while remaining refined and timeless.

The original gilt finish has developed a rich, mellow patina, with gentle wear that enhances its authenticity and character. The large lower mirror plate is original and exceptionally clear, retaining remarkable clarity for its age with minimal signs of foxing. The smaller upper pane has been replaced at some point in its life, ensuring crisp reflection while preserving the integrity of the overall design.
