The population of London at the time this map was originally published was approximately 650,000.

An Exact Survey of the City's of London, Westminster, Borough of Southwark, and the Country Near Ten Miles Round. The map extends to Canonbury; Mile End; St.George's Fields & Osterley

Begun in 1741 & Ended in 1745 by John Rocque (1709 - 1762) was a prominent surveyor, map maker and engraver during the 18th century. Between 1734 - 1762 he published more than 100 maps, plans, and road books.

This map is a republished print on parchment, dissected and laid onto cloth; mounted in a distressed black frame with a gold trim.
