Begun in 1741 & Ended in 1745 by John Rocque (1709 - 1762) was a prominent surveyor, map maker and engraver during the 18th century. Between 1734 - 1762 he published more than 100 maps, plans, and road books.
This map is a republished print on parchment, dissected and laid onto cloth; mounted in a distressed black frame with a gold trim.
