A pair of rare ebonised oak five-section stackable bookcases, crafted by the renowned Globe Wernicke Company Ltd of London. These bookcases were originally designed for libraries and prestigious offices, synonymous with unmatched quality and craftsmanship.

Each piece has been expertly restored and is in lovely vintage condition. Globe Wernicke bookcases are distinguished by their distinctive lifting glass doors, cleverly operated with a patented mechanism that smoothly slides into position above your cherished books.

Each stackable section is reinforced with metal bands, which have been gilded for a striking effect, and complimented by vintage brass knobs. While the knobs are a later addition, they harmoniously complement the gold bands.
