A superb late 19th century French gilt mirror in the Louis Philippe style, crowned with an elegant Rococo-inspired crest of scrolling foliage and shell detailing.
This is an excellent example, with the original gilt finish exceptionally well maintained. The frame retains a beautiful, even patina and depth of tone, with delicate beading to the inner edge and subtle engraved detailing throughout. The original glass shows only gentle age-related character, and the original back board remains intact.
